About the speaker:

Dr. Colm Reilly is the Director of OCO Global which he joined after leaving PA Consulting in 2016. Colm led the PA Consulting global practice in Trade and Investment for 15 years. During this timeframe, he managed the European Investment activities for JETRO (Japanese Trade and Investment Agency), UK Trade and Investment (Managing Director 2010 – 2016), Tennesset, British Columbia, and the establishment of a new SME Trade and Investment Hub between the UK and Israel, UK and Sweden and UK and India. The High Value Trade program for the UK, in preparation of Brexit developed GBP 2.5 billion of trade developing supply chain analysis globally. He and his team supported over 800 small and medium size companies achieve substantial export growth across a variety of sectors. Since 2016, Colm has also devised the SME diversification strategy for the Dutch Antilles islands and several European cities including Milan, Madrid and Stockholm and London where they created and launched the Mayor Export program for SMEs. He is currently an advisor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on SME development and to the European Investment Bank on approaches to take place in developing SMEs in North Africa. Colm also manages the trade development program for SMEs in Europe for Virginia.

(VAIBC™) was established in 1948, and it has had a distinguished history as a membership organization serving businesses engaged in or pursuing international trade and the wide range of professionals in the public and private sector that facilitate and enable international trade. Our monthly luncheon programs provide networking and educational opportunities vital to success. We also periodically conduct special workshops featuring experts in the field on topics we believe to be especially timely and vital to our members, as well as several annual special events, which have historically included our December holiday party and spring golf outing. We actively support other Virginia trade organizations and events, and provide scholarships and other outreach to Virginia colleges and universities.
