Please join the Virginia International Business Council for our Celebration of World Trade Day on May 27, 2015 featuring Jean Janicke, Director, Office of Trade Negotiations & Analysis, Industry & Analysis. This event is held on an annual basis to celebrate the importance of World Trade and to emphasize Virginia's place in the Global Community. Our featured speaker, Jean Janicke, will cover current Free Trade Agreements under negotiation (TPP, TTIP) and sector-specific talks underway in the WTO (Information Technology Agreement Expansion and the Environmental Goods Agreement.)


About the Speaker: Jean Janicke serves as Director of the office of Trade Negotiations and Analysis in the International Trade Administration. She is responsible for industry input and economic analysis to inform trade negotiations such as the Trans Pacific Partnership and the Environmental Goods Agreement. With over 20 years of trade policy experience, Ms. Janicke has represented U.S. industry views in negotiations ranging from APEC and the WTO to bilateral agreements with Chile and Vietnam. She earned a BA from the University of Virginia and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University.
