Mission Statement

Companies seeking to do business internationally can take advantage of the many benefits the Virginia International Business Council (formerly known as the Richmond Export Import Club) has to offer. We provide numerous regularly scheduled networking events, which provide business owners the opportunity to gather and share insights and experiences. We also provide educational seminars and conferences that highlight the issues business need to be aware of when transacting business abroad.


Below is a list of some of the advantages we provide our members:

  • Monthly luncheon at the Jefferson Hotel, 101 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23220
  • Monthly newsletter with meeting and trade information
  • Annual roster of individual members and their firms
  • Club recognizes service to the international trade community by its annual presentation of the "Rudy Ruderhausen Award.
  • Contributing sponsor of the Virginia Conference on World Trade
  • Sponsorship of academic programs for area colleges and universities
  • Workshops and seminars on trade procedures
  • Conferences on trade issues


Membership Application

Members and guests meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month from September to November and January to May. Meetings are networking sessions held in a luncheon format.

Memberships are available on an individual basis for $50.00 per year.
